Small Business Saturday - Pop Up Market
This November Pixels And Pop was invited by Happily Ever Etched and RSVP Event Space to participate in our first ever Pop Up Market, which was held on Small Business Saturday at RSVP Event Space in Fullerton, California! We were joined by eight other talented small shops and five wonderful vendors who sponsored the event. It was a huge success and a truly wonderful experience!
The community of Fullerton is known to support small businesses, which was made evident by the amazing turnout we had that day! There was a steady flow of people from 10am until we closed up shop around 3:45pm!
Our Booth
Since it was my first time selling our products in-person, there was a lot of preparation involved leading up to the day of the market! Each vendor was provided a 3ft x 8ft table to display their merchandise on, so I used painters tape to create that size footprint on my office floor to plan our product arrangement. Since Christmas is just around the corner we decided to feature our Gift Wrap Kits along with a few holiday gifts!
One of the things I decided to make for our display was a giant champagne bottle complete with a faux bubble garland. After all, our name was inspired by celebratory occasions that call for popping champagne!
As many of you already know, I am a huge fan of the beautiful products created by Happily Ever Etched! After lots of digital correspondence, it was so nice to finally get the chance to meet the powerhouse behind the successful brand! Jenny and her husband Charles just celebrated the 6 year anniversary of their business Happily Ever Etched and I am so happy for them! It was a pleasure speaking with Jenny about their new products as she and her growing brand continually inspire me!
As a tip for anyone who is doing their first market, I recommend using Square as your POS. It was such a user-friendly app and made transactions a breeze as customers made their purchases. It keeps track of your inventory and also allows you to input discounts, tax and gift cards if needed.

The market was adorned with stunning floral arrangements, which helped create such an inviting environment!

Many of our customers mentioned to me that the spectacular balloons were what drew them to our event since one large garland decorated the entrance and another hung beautifully inside!

Critic’s Choice served free, delicious hors d'oeuvres throughout the event, which the crowd definitely enjoyed. After sampling quite a few selections from their menu, I would highly recommend them for your next catered event! Their stunning serving ware was provided by La Pinata Party. Just check out those beautiful, silver drink dispensers for example!
Nellie, the owner of RSVP Event Space @RSVPEventSpace is pictured above with one of the delicious holiday beverages served at the event. It was such a pleasure to finally meet her as she is even sweeter in person than that hot cocoa she’s holding!
Thank you to all of you who came by the market to encourage our small businesses! You rock and we truly wouldn’t be able to any of this without your support!

Thank you again to Happily Ever Etched and RSVP Event Space as well as to the other talented vendors and sponsors who made this market a success! You made my first Pop Up experience a fantastic one! I am thrilled to connect with all of you and look forward to collaborating again sometime in the future!
Special thanks to my life-long friend Syd Duran who helped me run the Pixels And Pop booth. The day just wouldn’t have been the same without her wonderful help! On a side note, if you’re in need of a rockstar realtor in California she’s your girl! Also, I’m not joking about that rockstar bit, just search “Valora” on itunes!
